From the History Committee
During the course of this initial year of the History Committee's work, we have discovered a treasure trove of long since forgotten information telling us about the history of our church. As we continue to gather and assimilate information hidden away throughout the campus, we hope that this page will serve as an educational component of our work so that our members—whether from a multi-generational family or newly woven into the fabric of our church—will better understand and appreciate our church’s unique heritage.
“History shows us how to behave. History teaches, reinforces what we believe in, what we stand for, and what we ought to be willing to stand up for..."

Heritage Moments
225+2 Anniversary
The first series of messages comes from our review of pictures, videos, and documents regarding our beloved sanctuary. It seems most appropriate to share them now as excitement builds this fall for our reentry into that building to return to our normal worship rhythms.
The church celebrated its 225th anniversary in 2020 and recognized this in 2022 with a number of events remembering the Lord’s faithfulness to his people. The presentation given by Elder Jack Haynes, Jr. provides a rich history of our sanctuary, which the Lord has provided for worship to many generations.
