The mission of the First Presbyterian Church Recreation Ministry is to provide opportunities for people to develop relationships, grow friendships, and strengthen one another in life and faith as we participate in our favorite sports, hobbies and other forms of recreation and athletics. First Presbyterian’s Recreation Ministry strives to be a family affair. It is with this in mind that we hope everyone in your family will find opportunity for activity and fellowship. It is our purpose to provide a program for youth and adults that will:
• Attract people from the surrounding community and provide them with a warm and welcome introduction to the church.
• Encourage church members and attendees to reach out to friends, family, and neighbors by inviting them to participate.
• Create an environment that is conducive to building relationships, discipleship, and fellowship.
Any program conducted by the FPC Recreation Ministry should pursue these goals in a non-threatening, wholesome, relational environment that embraces excellence, emphasizes self-control, encourages spiritual growth, and promotes physical fitness.
We are currently building the Recreation Ministry so the list of opportunities for you and your family will grow. Here are the current offerings from the FPC Recreation Ministry:
